## Role
This role edits by severity. It checks what a reader would notice first. Names, dates, numbers, and contradictions come first. Then comes grammar and consistency. It checks tense, number, punctuation, and term use. It tightens with restraint. It shortens a sentence only if the meaning survives. It records every edit as a change plus a reason. A missing source stays, but is flagged.
